agturn with hydraulic damping

TARGET SETTING

The hydraulic damping is an additional module for extending the switching time. By means of a piston running in a cylinder with hydraulic medium, a uniform switching speed is achieved.
The torque is maintained and jerky movements are prevented, thus protecting the pipelines, fittings and the slewing drive itself.
Hydraulic damping is used for flapping valves such as double eccentric flaps and is used to prevent water hammer.
It can be variably adjusted whether a damping effect is only present in the end positions or whether a uniform speed is produced over the entire swing angle.
The design of the hydraulic damping is compact. The module is also designed to be tamper-proof, so that no unplanned changes to the settings are possible.

USE

  • With 18 different sizes at torques from 2 to 13,040 Nm, a suitable quarter-turn actuator is available for every shut-off valve application.
  • The high-quality powder-coated covers and the housing coating of hard-coated aluminium enable use even in aggressive ambient conditions.
  • The solenoid valve interface is located high on the profile, easily accessible, and optimised for the attachment of pilot valves.
  • The end position adjustment on the opposite side of the solenoid valve connection facilitates adjustment.
  • All commercially available signalling and control devices can be set up via the standardised VDI/VDE 3845 interface.
  • The position indicator is part of the product and is equipped with variable clips to indicate the valve position.
  • The end positions can be adjusted from +5° to -5° in the 0° and 90° positions, allowing the valve to be optimally adjusted.
  • For each actuator size, there is a choice of 2 ISO flange patterns for most sizes for flexible automation of valves.
  • The pinion with octagonal connection adapts a parallel or diagonal switching shaft alignment of the valve and ensures a space-saving actuator design.
  • Easy installation and removal of the safety springs, which are designed for a balanced ratio between pneumatic torque and spring torque.
  • A defined spring number is assigned to each control pressure and facilitates actuator selection via the torques.
  • A laser engraving on the actuator housing identifies the flange patterns and air connections for clear assignment.
  • Also laser-engraved is the serial number, with which the actuator manufacture can be traced back at any time.
  • Precisely milled piston teeth ensure smoother running, optimum torque and low wear.
  • A long service life is achieved by the plain bearings of all moving parts.
  • Thanks to the drive variants with different swivel angles, the drives cover a wide range of applications.
  • The use of identical covers for single-acting and double-acting actuators results in reduced stock-keeping.
  • The unmistakable design is patent-protected and guarantees the original actuator type with a design according to the principle "Form follows Function".
  • Increased fail-safety of your system due to our SIL 3 certified drives.
